The Location Station is a location scouting and management enterprise, going anywhere, scouting for anything, but primarily for shoots in New York City and the metropolitan/ tri-state area. Scouting since 1994, after getting a fast start in the independent film scene, the gigs branched out in art and commerce in and around the a-maze-ing Big Apple. A sign in a Manhattan shop window summed it up well: There is no place like this place anyplace – so this must be the place!
From the Manhattan grid, across the five boros, from upstate New York to western New Jersey to Montauk, Mark and The Location Station have traveled thousands of walking, driving, biking, or public transit miles. On those journeys, countless streets and corners, businesses and homes, facilities, parks and so on have been scouted. There is always a new location, or a new kind of location, to be found. Productions will never have a shortage of ideas to tap the classic and iconic, the scenic and the bizarre of Greater New York. The growth of The Location Station has spurred its many adventures — and vice versa — and every day the vast variety of metro shooting venues grows more apparent. Despite that challenge, we try to help anyone, and usually succeed!
Past and present film, TV, commercial, still photo and music video clients of Mark and The Location Station are producers, directors, DPs, photographers and agencies who have called the shots for movies, shows and ads created for, among others, CBS, PBS, TNT, NBC, NTV (Japan), MBC (Korea), Fox 2000, Miramax, The Weinstein Company, Lions Gate Films, London Weekend Television, Nike, Nokia, Hyundai, Heineken, Honda, Volvo and Volvo Truck, Canon, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Target, Time Warner Cable, and Indian and independent features.
